This June of 2018, DECOLUX HOME introduced its newest line of other luxury Italian products to the Los Angeles market at the DWELL ON DESIGN expo in Downtown Los Angeles, the annual design event that brings together the world of design from all corners of the world right at the heart of the West Coast. Joining us was our team from Italy, who helped us prepare for the event.

Over the course of three days, we had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of people from the design and construction industries, who had never seen anything like our products, and we gladly introduced them to the latest innovations in eco-friendly design materials.

“This is paint?” was the catchphrase that we picked up on frequently as designers, architects, real estate developers, contractors, and homeowners passed by our luxurious booth, which featured an array of our most stunning decorative textures and finishes. Visitors could not believe that the wood, metal, stone, and many other textures that they were seeing were in fact handcrafted with paint. To add on to their excitement, they also learned that our products were environmentally-friendly. Our Master Technicians, who flew in from Italy with the team, was on-site doing hourly live demonstrations to show the masses how our textures are crafted. This proved to be a real crowd-pleaser, as people gathered around the DECOLUX HOME booth, phones and cameras in hand, to catch a glimpse of the action.

DECOLUX HOME takes Los Angeles by storm with an Italian themed grand opening GALA

Earlier this week in Los Angeles, Decolux Home Design followed up its pop-up event by hosting an invitation-only Grand Opening Gala to unveil its highly anticipated showroom to the US/CA market.

With demand for eco-friendly architectural products at an all-time high and luxury decorative textures and paints dominating the wish-lists of discerning designers and homeowners in LA, Decolux Home is quickly becoming the most sought after brand for industry insiders.

“We remember when the concept of a Decolux Home showroom was just a vision” said the founders of the company. “Words can’t describe our feelings this evening finally sharing with everyone our vision of a more beautiful and environmentally friendly future of design in the US.”

In attendance was an LA crowd of interior designers, architects, artists, and high-profile clients who enjoyed a menu of Italian food, desserts, and drinks and mingled with industry-leading professionals.

As they made their way through the showroom, guests were immediately awe-struck by the ultra chic and modern space and the rows of square panels that exhibit a variety of textures and finishes from the bold, metal-inspired to the subtle, modern designs.

“The space feels luxurious yet very homey and inviting,“ said one of the guests of the evening, taking in the chic setting. “I wish I had unlimited wall space to use every product in my own home,” added another.

Among the most popular textures were the old copper finishes, a style that requires an eight-layer process to achieve the final look, and the wood finishes.

Special guests from Italy also paid a visit for the gala.

Fuorisalone: DECOLUX HOME in Milan

The Decolux Home Design team visited Milan, Italy in the spring to participate in Fuorisalone, the annual design event that celebrates the best of Italian design and brings together brands that are leading in design innovation.

One of the standout features of the event was Daniel Libeskind’s Future Flowers installation in the courtyard of the Milan University. Libeskind’s most notable works include the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the One World Trade Center in New York, and the Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin, among others.

Libeskind’s paint of choice for his piece was a custom-made red paint which was exclusively crafted for the architect by one of DECOLUX HOME’ featured Italian high end brands. Created for the Energy for Creative architectural program, Future Flowers is a composite of colored aluminum planes that Libeskind conceived as a study of the essence of geometry and color.

The DECOLUX HOME team had the privilege of attending Libeskind’s opening ceremony and representing the brand to the attendees of Fuorisalone along with the architect himself.
